To be real, it really is such a pity that pit bulls get such a bad rap in the United States. They really aren't all vicious dog-fighting monsters—really. As a breed, they are extremely sweet and loyal and make great family dogs. Didn't you know that? That's one of the main reasons why the It's a Pittie Dog Rescue group based out of Illinois is so vital to helping animals in need.

Focusing on an often misunderstood and overlooked breed and educating the public about how great pit bulls are is only part of the solution. Adopting and fostering them is the endgame! This holiday season, consider opening your homes and hearts to a loving and thankful pit bull like Arnold—you'll be glad you did.
