Fido's Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile
It's February, AKA Dental Health Month. If you don't already have a dental care routine in place for your dog, there's never a better time to start than now! Did you know that dental disease can also damage his internal organs if left unchecked? Even if your furry friend's mouth looks great, there could still be something going on below the gum line where you can't see it. So, break out the toothbrush and have at it!
If your pup is really anti-brushing, don't fret. There are lots of alternatives to help him stay healthy. Try giving him a dental treat like Greenies (he won't know the difference) or a toy that does double-duty, like Busy Buddy Bristle Bones. Obviously these aren't substitutes for a good home brushing, but they are better than doing nothing! If your pup exhibits any of the following symptoms, you might want to get him evaluated by a veterinarian pronto: bad breath, drooling, dropping food, discolored teeth, or loss of appetite.
Now, let's see Fido's pearly whites!
