HALO Animal Rescue of Phoenix, AZ Feels the Love Thanks to our Daily Kibble Spread the Love Contest Winner!
The first question that people ask when they learn about HALO Animal Rescue of Phoenix, AZ is, "What does HALO stand for?" While the answer is fairly simple, it stands for "Helping Animals Live On", the work required to stand behind those four words is not very simple, at all. Truth be told, it takes an army of dedicated workers, volunteers and supporters to help make the Phoenix, AZ community a safe place for homeless pets. One of those supporters is Jerri who lives in the 85338 zip code. Jerri hasn't adopted a pet from HALO, but she finds a way to donate products and cash to them whenever possible. And by entering Daily Kibble's Spread the Love Giveaway, she not only won a $100 Petco.com gift card for herself, she also won a $1,000 cash donation to her favorite rescue, HALO! Talk about hitting the good vibes jackpot! Woof!
HALO Animal Rescue is truly a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year. They are a no-kill facility, which means they never euthanize an animal because they have run out of room, but it also means they are limited in the animals they can take in at any given time. These animals are lovingly cared for while they are prepared for adoption, and then they are adopted into loving homes.
While Jerri hasn't adopted from HALO, she has always had multiple rescued pets and currently has 2 large mixed breeds (Willow and Winston), 2 elderly chihuahuas (Nigel and Tinky) and a blind elderly kitty (Marigold) in her care. So when she says she believes in "adopt, don't shop", she isn't kidding.
Keep up the great work, Jerri and HALO!
