Hilary Swank is Going to the Dogs
"Fox's Cause for Paws: An All-Star Dog Spectacular" will air Nov. 27 and features a slew of celebrities aiming to find thousands of needy dogs a home by Black Friday. Hosted by Hilary Swank and "Glee" actress Jane Lynch, the two-hour program feature dog stories, viral videos, musical tributes, a fundraiser, contests and more.
Swank is unleashing some serious star power to help rescue dogs get adopted by families who want to make a difference on Thanksgiving - or those who just want to watch terriers instead of touchdowns on TV.
Co-host Jane Lynch, Olivia Munn, Julianne Hough, Max Greenfield and Cesar Millan were among the stars who visited the Treat Suite produced by Backstage Creations at Fox’s Cause for Paws Dog Special. Stars brought rescue dogs to the suite to get treats from Pedigree, Spin Master Zuppies and Paw Patrol, Petco gift cards, Wisdom Panel DNA tests, Febreze, Swiffer and Cesar Millan Foundation Pennyroyal Studios charms and necklaces. A grooming station by The Barkley Pet Hotel was a huge hit.
Everyone who has come on board cares deeply about the fate of dogs that are waiting for families all over our country. The show offers localized information so viewers can help wherever they are. "There's upwards of more than 8 million that are currently in the U.S. shelter system, and up to 4 million of them never find their way out. They're just patiently waiting to become part of a loving family."
