The First Annual Daily Kibble Recipe Contest Official Rules

ELIGIBILITY: To enter you must be a Daily Kibble subscriber of at least 18 years of age and have a United States shipping address. If you aren't already a subscriber, when you email Daily Kibble with your recipe to enter the contest you will automatically be subscribed to our free Daily Kibble email. While you may unsubscribe from the Daily Kibble email at anytime, you must be a subscriber as of December 31, 2009 in order to qualify.
WINNING: The two winners (one for the best people recipe and one for the best pet recipe) of the First Annual Daily Kibble Recipe Contest will be chosen by a vote from Daily Kibble's executive staff and their decision is final. The winners will be notified via their email address with the announcement: "YOU WON THE FIRST ANNUAL DAILY KIBBLE RECIPE CONTEST". The winner must respond via email or phone (1-425-827-7526) to claim their prize. Prizes not claimed within 15 days will be forfeited. Daily Kibble will pay up to $20 in shipping and delivery fees. Any additional shipping charges, duties, taxes and sales tax are the responsibility of the winner.
PRIZES: Two $50 Gift Certificates to ChefShop.com. One prize winner will be awarded for the best people recipe and one prize winner will be awarded for the best pet recipe.
RECIPE OWNERSHIP: Entries must be submitted by the recipe owner and your submission and entry is your guarantee that you are owner of the recipe.
OWNERSHIP RIGHTS: By submitting your recipe you hereby grant to Daily Kibble an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free world-wide license to use the content provided on the Daily Kibble Website, in Daily Kibble emails, recipe books and in Daily Kibble promotion and advertising of any kind.
LIMITATIONS: Limit one per person and per e-mail address. Each entry may include a people recipe and a pet recipe. All claims subject to verification.
Contest is open to residents of the 50 United States and D.C., except employees of Daily Kibble, affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each.
Void where prohibited by law.
All federal, state and local taxes, insurance, licensing, registration and title fees are the sole responsibility of winner/offer recipient.
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
No transfer/substitution of prize by winner permitted.
In order to receive prize, winner must execute Prize Acceptance and Release, which constitutes permission to Daily Kibble, its agencies, promotional partners and participating retailers to use recipient's name/likeness for advertising/trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Daily Kibble reserves the right to substitute prize/offer of equal/greater value. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Daily Kibble.
INTERNET CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Daily Kibble or its employees are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, or for faulty, incorrect or mis-transcribed phone/e-mail transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. Daily Kibble reserves the right to cancel or modify the online entry if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the program as determined by Daily Kibble, in their sole discretion. In the event of termination of the online entry portion of the program, a notice will be posted online indicating how to enter via the mail and the drawing will be conducted from among all eligible online entries received prior to termination and all eligible mail in entries received. In the event a dispute arises with respect to the drawing and regarding specific individual entitled to receive prize, Daily Kibble will be solely responsible for making a determination as to who the winner is in its sole discretion. An entry made by Internet will be declared made by the "authorized e-mail account holder" and any damage made to the Web Site will also be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized e-mail account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Participant may be requested to provide Daily Kibble with proof that the participant is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address associated with the account/submission. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Daily Kibble.
Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all such submissions by such methods.
By accepting prize/offer, winners/offer recipients agree to hold Daily Kibble, and its directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of prize/offer.
Winner/offer recipients assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize/offer.
Daily Kibble not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or the announcement of any prize/offer or in the administration of the promotion.
